Responsibilities

• Assist the Centre Director with overall centre operations, including recruitment, staff development, policy implementation, and compliance with child safety, environmental health, hygiene, and provincial licensing requirements.


• Ensure staff understand classroom objectives and expectations.


• Manage administrative functions such as payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and general communications.


• Interpret and enforce all provincial regulations applicable to the building.


• Implement and ensure completion of mandatory training for all staff.


• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child’s care.


• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Early Childhood Education (CWS) – Level 3 certificate.


• Demonstrated knowledge of licensing and accreditation regulations.


• Must meet provincial requirements for childcare employment.


• Up‑to‑date immunization and health assessment as per local Ministry of Health requirements.


• CPR/First Aid Certificate.
