Join Our Team as a Ship Material Handler at Johnson Electric! Location: Stratford, ON (onsite) Salary Range: $26.53 per hour Vacancy Type: Existing Position As our next Ship Material Handler, you’ll be at the forefront of receiving goods, preparing customer shipments, and maintaining the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the facility. Your expertise in shipping, receiving, material handling, and forklift operation will be essential to supporting uninterrupted production and accurate, on-time deliveries.

What You’ll Be Doing: Review shipping reports, shipment lists, and instructions to prepare outgoing orders
Ship, receive, move, and store materials from suppliers, customers, outside processors, service providers, and internal departments
Prepare load sheets and safely load trucks for outgoing shipments
Prepare shipping documents, sign out loads, distribute paperwork, and generate Advance Shipping Notices (ASNs)
Confirm successful ASN transmission within the required timeframe
Receive and inspect incoming goods for visible damage, quantity discrepancies, and general condition
Prepare receiving discrepancy reports when required and forward documentation for processing
Weigh, label, package, and prepare outgoing products according to process sheets and packaging instructions
Complete traceability tags for packaged products and materials returned to the Quality department
Safely transport properly identified materials between processes and storage locations
Communicate with operators and monitor material requirements to maintain a continuous supply for secondary operations
Perform secondary operations, including tumbling, oil impregnation, steam treatment, and packaging




Collect and dispose of scrap materials, bins, floor sweepings, powder, and rejected parts
Provide coverage for material-handling and secondary-processing activities when required
Complete daily lift-truck inspection checks and report equipment concerns
Maintain clean and organized shipping, storage, yard, and work areas
Ensure compliance with Quality Management, Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements
Perform other related duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For: High school diploma or equivalent
Valid lift-truck or forklift operator’s license
Knowledge of protected material-handling and lifting practices
Ability to complete shipping, receiving, inventory, and traceability documentation accurately and legibly
Ability to safely lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds
Ability to remain focused while working in a busy, fast-paced setting
Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Ability to walk and operate material-handling equipment for extended periods
Bonus Points If You Have: Previous forklift or tow-motor operating experience
Experience in shipping, receiving, warehousing, or material handling
Manufacturing or automotive industry experience
Familiarity with ASNs, shipping documentation, and product traceability requirements
Experience performing packaging or secondary manufacturing operations
