Leverage your skills in governance as EQ's Corporate Secretary. This senior role offers opportunities for significant impact on Board operations and governance standards across Canada.

As Corporate Secretary, you will report directly to the General Counsel and play a vital role in shaping EQ's governance practices. You will provide guidance to the Board on governance issues, oversee compliance and regulatory challenges, and ensure efficient decision-making at all levels. You’ll also be responsible for creating governance materials and maintaining corporate records, safeguarding the integrity of EQB and its subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead governance framework enhancement and implementation
• Ensure effective Board meeting documentation and processes




• Communicate Board decisions with clear accountability
• Advise on director independence and governance policies
• Collaborate with external governance stakeholders

Requirements:
• Extensive experience in governance and compliance
• In-depth knowledge of financial institution regulations
• Strong advisory and leadership capabilities
• Proven track record of managing complex governance issues
• Robust communication skills with the ability to influence
