Company Description

We are building a team of driven engineers, who are developing AI products for financial services both for in-house and external use. We are seeking a Lead AI Engineer ready to take on leadership and project management responsibilities. We need at least 5-10 years experience working in a startup environment with experience leading teams

Role Description

Candidates should have strong professional experience with modern web development environments, along with excellent problem-solving and debugging skills across systems. We seek candidates who can communicate fluently with junior team members and mentor them. This is not a purely managerial role and the candidate should be able code extensively with or without coding agents.

The ideal candidate blends deep technical expertise with product-focused skills, including a basic understanding of machine learning systems, especially LLMs, and strong capabilities in product design and user research to drive the development of thoughtful, AI-powered products. Experience with ML model deployment and LLM application development is a plus,



as is strong DevOps experience.

We require high levels of self-direction and motivation.

This is not a 9 to 5 job and will require working with a sense of urgency required in current market workplace.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Computer Science principles and Software Development methodologies
- Extremely good at python development and scaling
- Good communication skills
- Ability to learn new technologies rapidly
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in Engineering or Computer Science from an top US or Canadian University is required
- Experience working with extremely large datasets is a plus
