In addition, Lifex Insurance supports clients with financial planning services to help them assess retirement readiness and provides financial therapy to address financial barriers and improve long-term outcomes.Role Description The Licensed Insurance Agent role at Lifex Insurance is a remote, contract position focused on advising individual and business clients on life, disability, and critical illness insurance coverage. The agent will conduct needs assessments, present tailored insurance solutions, and support clients through the application, underwriting, and policy issuance process. Daily activities include managing a client pipeline, responding to inquiries, delivering transparent explanations of products and benefits, and maintaining accurate records in compliance with regulatory standards.
The agent will collaborate with internal teams and external carriers to compare products, ensure competitive offerings,
and provide ongoing service such as policy reviews, updates, and claims support. This role requires proactive outreach, consistent follow-up, and a client-centered approach to building long-term relationships.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency in insurance sales with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Solid knowledge of insurance products, including life, disability, and critical illness coverage.
- Experience working in an insurance brokerage environment or with multiple carriers to compare and recommend products.
- Understanding of basic finance principles and how insurance fits within broader financial planning strategies.
- Strong customer service skills, including the ability to listen, explain complex information clearly, and build trust.
- Current insurance license in relevant jurisdictions and adherence to regulatory and ethical standards.
- Effective remote work capabilities, including time management, self-direction, and comfort with digital communication tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accurate documentation.
- Prior experience in financial services, financial planning, or employee benefits administration is an asset.
- High school diploma required; post-secondary education in business, finance, or a related field is preferred.
