Manager, FinOps Location: Bengaluru – Brookfield GCC

About the Role

The Manager, FinOps will lead cloud financial operations, cost governance, billing transparency, and optimization across AWS, Azure, and GCP. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate reporting, effective cost controls, and clear visibility into global cloud spend. This position partners with Finance, IT, Engineering, DevOps, Procurement, and business teams to align cloud consumption with financial objectives and enterprise governance standards. It also manages daily FinOps operations, stakeholder queries, billing escalations, reporting requests, and operational coverage when the reporting manager is unavailable. The role will translate complex cost data into actionable insights, dashboards, and executive recommendations while improving processes, controls, documentation, and governance routines. It will also coach analysts and team members on FinOps practices and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead FinOps operations across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Manage cloud billing, cost allocation, chargeback/showback, tagging compliance, budget tracking, forecasting, and spend variance analysis.
- Partner with Finance, Engineering, DevOps, Procurement, and business stakeholders on cloud consumption and financial governance.
- Produce cost analysis, dashboards, reporting, and executive-ready recommendations.
- Manage daily operations, stakeholder queries, billing escalations, reporting requests, and follow-ups independently.
- Identify and implement optimization opportunities, including:
- Rightsizing
- Commitment coverage
- Storage optimization
- Idle-resource cleanup
- Usage trend analysis

- Improve FinOps processes, controls, documentation, governance cadences, and communication routines.
- Coach analysts and team members on FinOps best practices, billing processes, reporting standards, and stakeholder engagement.

Required Skills

- At least 8 years of experience in IT, Cloud Operations, Finance Operations, or a related field, with strong FinOps and cloud cost management exposure.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and GCP.




- Strong knowledge of cloud billing constructs, consumption models, commitment discounts, and cost optimization approaches across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Expertise in commitment-plan strategies, including enterprise discount programs, Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, Spot usage, Sustained Use Discounts, and Committed Use Discounts.
- Experience using cloud cost and analytics tools such as AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, GCP Billing, Power BI, Excel, SQL, or equivalent platforms.
- Python data analytics experience for automation, reporting, data validation, and cloud cost analysis.
- Power BI dashboard development experience for cloud spend visibility, KPI tracking, and executive reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills covering financial modelling, variance analysis, reconciliations, and executive reporting.
- Strong financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, chargeback/showback, business analytics, and data-interpretation skills.
- Experience applying AI to FinOps use cases, including cost anomaly analysis, forecasting support, automation, and insight generation.
- Understanding of agentic AI concepts and AI-enabled workflow automation for FinOps reporting and analysis.
- Ability to analyse large datasets and generate insights for operational, financial, and executive decision‑making.
- Understanding of application development environments, databases, data management, and infrastructure capabilities and constraints.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate with global and senior stakeholders across Finance, IT, Engineering, Procurement, and business teams.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of daily operations, resolve queries,



manage escalations, and provide dependable backup coverage during the manager’s absence.
- Solid problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, accountability, and prioritization in a fast‑paced global environment.
- Self‑motivated approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively while delivering strong customer service.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

- Develop cost dashboards, KPI reporting, financial analysis, and executive insights.
