lululemon located at Vancouver, BC is currently accepting applications for the position of Manager, Global Merchandising – Men’s Athletic. The company is looking for a motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills who is ready to start as soon as possible. The employer is offering a full-time position.

- The candidate will be responsible for overseeing a team of Global Merchants who report directly to the Manager.

- The candidate will be responsible for inspiring, coaching and guiding team members to develop their skills and deliver on business priorities.

- The candidate will be responsible for supporting employee development plans and performance management.

- The candidate will be responsible for defining class strategies based on the short-range product strategy (2-3 years) and creating global seasonal merchandise strategies and a roadmap for the season.

- The candidate will work with Brand and Creative partners to create Global Product strategies.

- The candidate will be responsible for briefing raw materials.

- The candidate will be responsible for leading their team in building the architecture of the assortment in collaboration with the Design and Product Development team.

- The candidate will be responsible for creating and delivering global merchandising strategies to their Regional teams.

- The candidate will be responsible for presenting the direction for the season, including the roadmap, story-telling/campaigns, direction of product flow and colour, to Regional Buyers and key cross-functional partners for their business category.

- The candidate will be responsible for enrolling and aligning on activity strategies with Design, including carryover, seasonal newness, franchise management and slot investments.

- The candidate will be responsible for building a strategic vision for franchises and the product lifecycle.

- The candidate will be responsible for signing off on sketches and protos against the long-term category strategy.

- The candidate will be responsible for leading the team in gaining in-depth consumer and competitive insights.

- The candidate will be responsible for the colour flow for the global assortment to ensure clear, consistent and profitable storytelling.





- The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that seasonal KPIs/targets are met.

Job Requirements

- The candidate must have a BA, BSc, BBA, BComm, or equivalent qualification, with a specialization in Retail Management considered an asset.

- The candidate must have a minimum of 8 years of experience combining people management and Merchandising experience.

- The candidate must demonstrate a proven ability to coach, mentor and lead a team.

- The candidate must have an understanding of and experience working for a Global Brand.

- The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office Programs, demonstrate mastery in Excel, and have proficiency in Merchandising Software, with experience in Adobe Illustrator preferred.

- The candidate must have strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret multiple data points across numerous channels and market segments.

- The candidate must demonstrate financial acumen and an understanding of Retail Math.

- The candidate must have the ability to balance analytical and creative tasks.

- The candidate must be able to interpret and apply financial insights on current business performance and leverage insights to guide and inform future range plans.

- The candidate must have an acute eye for product and colour trends.

- The candidate must be aware of macro lifestyle and fashion trends and how these relate to the active and wellness industry.

- The candidate must have a strong understanding of the global market place, major shifts in trend and activity.

- The candidate must be able to apply, interpret and synthesize marketplace data to create a global assortment.

- The candidate must be able to enroll and clearly communicate vision, class strategy and feedback to key partners.

- The candidate must have the ability to lead and influence creative partners.





- The candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrate the ability to present to Senior Leadership.

- The candidate must be able to multi task, pivot, prioritize competing tasks and operate in a fast paced environment.

- The candidate must be highly organized and have a keen eye for detail.

- The candidate must be able to work independently to make sound business decisions.

- The candidate must acknowledge the presence of choice in every moment and take personal responsibility for their actions and decisions.

- The candidate must possess an entrepreneurial spirit and continuously seek innovative ways to achieve strong results.

Work conditions
