The Bridges & Civil Structures (BCS) team delivers cutting-edge engineering solutions for some of Canadas most significant bridge, transportation, and infrastructure projects.

Working across the full project lifecycle, the team undertakes preliminary and detailed structural design, advanced structural analysis, technical reporting, and design reviews for new and existing civil structures.

Graduates have the opportunity to contribute to landmark projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, develop expertise in industry-leading design tools and engineering codes, and help shape resilient, sustainable infrastructure that serves communities for generations.

The opportunity Create solutions to built environment challenges using the art and science of structural engineering Design structural systems and perform structural analysis within a team of engineers Deliver structural engineering drawings, calculations, reports, sketches, and presentations Collaborate with internal and external parties Attend meetings and learn from listening, asking questions and discussion Working in a multi-disciplinary design team to develop sustainable solutions Learn and implement software and technology skills to perform structural analysis, design, and documentation Continually develop new skills and experience through Arup University, Arup Structural Skills Network, and on-the-job learning Learn and understand local and international codes and regulations Is this role right for you? Qualifications Preference for candidates with a completed masters degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent Coursework in structural analysis Coursework in advanced steel design, advanced reinforced concrete design and/or advanced timber design Professional demeanor Ability to perform in a deadline driven environment Ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible way Demeanor of taking initiative, passion,



and eagerness to learn The ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned work and outstanding organization skills required for our constantly evolving environment Strong interpersonal and communication skills needed for team-based working Candidate must be eligible to work in Canada without the need for employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future Preferred Eligible to become a member of the PEO/OIQ/APEGA Coursework in structural dynamics, and earthquake engineering Structural software skills, Revit skills, 3D modeling skills (Rhino, Sketch

Up, etc.), coding skills (MySQL, Python, etc.), AutoCAD skills Past internship/co-op experience with a design firm or extracurricular activities in the field.
