We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced **Design Technologist** on a part-time basis to support technical drafting, digital visualization, and design modeling operations.

The ideal candidate holds a background in Architectural or Interior Design Technology, combined with a minimum of five years of hands-on experience translating complex design concepts into precise technical assets.

In this role, you will bridge the gap between technical execution and visual communication by creating advanced 3D models, converting CAD assets across multiple software platforms, and collaborating closely with our Industrial Design and Marketing teams.

This position offers a high degree of autonomy, operating independently with structured weekly check-ins to review progress, establish priorities, and align on project milestones.

Up Modeling:** Build, maintain, and optimize detailed 3D CAD models within Sketch

Up Pro, including the creation and configuration of Energetic Components (part creation, custom property assignment, and complex environmental assemblies). * **Cross-Platform CAD Translation:** Interpret, clean, and translate architectural and technical design information seamlessly from source CAD programs (e.g., AutoCAD, CREO) into production-ready formats. * **Visualization Support:** Collaborate with Industrial Design and Marketing teams to produce specialized 3D models tailored for high-quality rendering production, aligned strictly with project storyboards and visual style guides.

Project & Technical Coordination Independent Execution:** Manage weekly workload efficiently in a self-directed environment, taking ownership of deliverables from brief through final review.

Communication & Check-Ins:** Participate in structured weekly touchpoints to review priorities, demonstrate progress, resolve technical bottlenecks, and incorporate feedback.

Asset & Data Management:** Maintain clean, well-organized drawing files, component libraries, and visual assets adhering to company file structures and layer conventions.

Qualifications Education:** Diploma or Degree in Architectural Technology, Interior Design Technology, Industrial Design,



or a related technical drafting discipline.

Experience:** Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in technical drafting, 3D digital visualization, and multi-disciplinary design support.

Technical & Software Skills Sketch

Up Pro:** Expert-level proficiency, with demonstrated experience constructing Dynamic Components, parametric properties, and detailed environmental setups.

AutoCAD:** Strong working proficiency with recent versions (AutoCAD 2025 preferred) for 2D drafting, layout, and asset extraction.

Secondary CAD Knowledge:** Working knowledge or familiarity with parametric/3D CAD platforms such as Solid

Works, CREO, or Inventor is considered a strong asset.

Productivity Tools:** Functional proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word) for daily project communication and tracking.

Core Competencies Technical Precision:** Exceptional spatial awareness, attention to detail, and ability to read/interpret complex architectural, interior, and product drafting documentation.

Autonomy & Time Management:** Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal daily supervision.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Strong verbal and visual communication skills to translate creative marketing briefs into precise technical models.
