Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior UX Designer to lead the design of intuitive, user-centered digital experiences across web and mobile platforms. The role involves end-to-end UX ownership—from research and ideation to prototyping and usability testing—ensuring high-quality, accessible, and impactful user experiences aligned with government digital standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Design user-friendly, visually engaging interfaces across digital platforms
- Lead end-to-end UX processes including research, ideation, wireframing, prototyping, and testing
- Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing, translating insights into actionable designs
- Create sitemaps, user flows, journey maps, wireframes, and prototypes
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define product vision and UX strategy
- Facilitate UX workshops, stakeholder alignment sessions, and design discussions
- Identify usability issues and deliver elegant, scalable design solutions
- Continuously iterate designs based on user feedback and testing results
- Ensure designs are optimized for multiple devices and platforms.
- Work closely with developers, QA, and business teams for seamless delivery

Must-Have Skills & Experience

- Proven experience as a UX/UI/Interaction Designer (web & mobile)




- Strong expertise in user-centered design and usability principles
- Hands-on experience with Figma, Canva, or similar design tools
- Ability to lead UX projects and design workshops with stakeholders
- Experience managing end-to-end user research lifecycle
- Strong experience in wireframing, prototyping, and user journey mapping
- Knowledge of Ontario Design System & Digital Service Standards
- Strong understanding of web technologies and design limitations

- Experience working with Ontario Public Service (OPS) or public sector
- Experience with legacy systems and complex stakeholder environments
