Job Summary

Crosstown Craft BBQ is looking for a rapid, friendly and detail oriented Side Server to join our opening team.

This position is an important part of our service line. You will be one of the first team members our guests interact with as they move through the ordering line. You’ll be responsible for greeting customers, taking their side orders, preparing and serving sides, and ensuring their order is ready before they move down the line to our meat cutters.

You’ll need to work quickly and accurately while keeping your station stocked, clean and organized during busy service.

Duties

- Greet guests and provide friendly, welcoming service
- Take and prepare customer side orders accurately
- Serve sides such as mac & cheese, slaw, beans, cornbread and other menu items
- Ensure side orders are ready before the customer reaches the meat cutting station
- Communicate clearly with the meat cutters and other FOH team members
- Keep side dishes stocked and monitor when items need to be replenished
- Maintain proper portion sizes and presentation




- Answer customer questions about sides and other menu items
- Keep the service line, serving area and equipment clean and organized
- Work quickly and efficiently during high-volume service
- Follow food safety, sanitation and restaurant procedures
- Help create a smooth, friendly experience from the moment guests enter the line

Requirements

- Previous restaurant or customer-service experience is an asset
- Strong English communication skills
- Friendly, outgoing and comfortable speaking with customers
- Able to work quickly and accurately in a busy environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable standing for extended periods
- Food Handler Certification is an asset
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
