Job Title: Experienced Staff Accountant

Job Summary: We are hiring an Experienced Staff Accountant for our client, one of the most recognizable accounting firms in Southwestern Ontario! This is an exciting chance for a CPA-designated accounting professional with public practice experience to join an established and growing team.

In this role, you will work with a diverse portfolio of clients, primarily mid-sized to large owner-managed businesses and non-profit organizations. You will be responsible for a variety of audit, review, compilation, tax, and financial reporting engagements while working closely with clients and internal team members.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and organized professional who enjoys working on a variety of engagements, solving complex accounting matters, and building strong client relationships.

Job Location: London, ON

Job Type: Full-time, permanent.

Compensation Structure: $75,000-$95,000/annum (depending on experience) + GRSP matching + great benefits + professional development & training +hybrid work schedule + flexible work arrangements + more!

Responsibilities:

· Lead and complete audit, review, and compilation engagements for a diverse portfolio of for-profit clients, with a focus on mid-sized to large owner-managed businesses.

· Manage audit engagements for non-profit organizations, from planning through to completion.

· Prepare accurate financial statements and accompanying notes and disclosures in accordance with the relevant accounting standards.





· Prepare and review personal and corporate income tax returns.

· Develop and analyze financial information and reports as required, including special-purpose audit reports, financial projections, forecasts, cash flow analyses, and other customized reporting.

· Stay current with changes to Canadian accounting standards and financial reporting requirements and ensure they are appropriately incorporated into client engagements.

· Other duties as assigned

Skills/Qualifications:

· CPA designation with at least 1 year of post-designation experience in a public accounting environment.

· Solid audit experience, including preparation of working papers, complex account reconciliations, and the ability to investigate issues and develop effective solutions.

· Strong understanding of Canadian accounting and auditing standards, including GAAP, CAS, ASPE, and ASNPO.

· Proficiency with accounting and office software such as CaseWare/CaseView, TaxPrep, Microsoft Word, and Excel.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with partners, team members, and clients.

· Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage competing priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
