Duties
- Assist with site preparation, including clearing debris, organizing materials, and setting up work areas
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently
- Support skilled tradespeople by handing tools and supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and procedures
- Perform basic manual tasks such as digging, lifting, carrying, moving materials, cutting grass and shoveling snow
- Follow instructions from supervisors to complete assigned tasks accurately and promptly
- Conduct routine inspections of tools and equipment to ensure proper functioning
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and reliability
- Valuable communication skills and ability to follow directions clearly
- Basic understanding of safety procedures and willingness to adhere to safety standards
- Prior experience in construction or general labour is a plus but not required
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
