We’re a family in Orono looking for a reliable, proactive household helper for 10–15 hours/week, spread over 2–3 weekdays during daytime hours. Evenings and weekends are not available.

We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys a homemaker/caregiver type of role and finds satisfaction in making a household run smoothly. You enjoy making delicious, healthy food, staying on top of laundry, creating order, and leaving a home feeling neat, tidy and fresh.

This is a mix of household organization, laundry, general cleaning and cooking/meal prep. It is not primarily a childcare position or a traditional deep-cleaning role. A big part of the job is noticing what needs to be done and taking initiative.

Important Notes:

- A valid driver's licence + reliable vehicle are necessary for this position. We do not live anywhere near accessible public transportation.
- Our home has two young children and two cats. This position will not work for someone that is fearful of animals or has any allergies.

What we need help with:

- Laundry from start to finish - wash, dry, fold + put away
- Tidying and resetting the house
- Vacuuming, wiping surfaces, kitchen/bathroom upkeep + other general cleaning
- Cat litter box + keeping the surrounding area clean
- Organizing toys, drawers, closets and other areas that need a reset
- Washing/chopping produce + basic food prep




- Planning/prepping/cooking 1–2 simple, healthy, high-protein meals each week (all food will be paid for by us)
- Grocery shopping or placing grocery orders when needed

Who we're looking for: Someone dependable, naturally organized and comfortable working independently. Once you get to know our home, we’d love for you to be able to see what needs attention and work through priorities without needing a detailed task list every visit.

We picture this role being 2-3 days, 10-15 hours a week broken up between the hours of 8:30am and 4:30pm. There is opportunity for this to expand into a larger role in the future.

We’re ultimately hoping to find someone who becomes a consistent, trusted part of our household and genuinely enjoys helping a family stay organized and on top of everyday life.
