Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and reliable Physics Tutor to support secondary students (Grades 8–12). The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the BC Physics curriculum and is comfortable delivering in-home tutoring sessions in the White Rock and South Surrey areas.

Responsibilities

- Provide one-on-one, in-home tutoring in Physics (Grades 8–12)
- Adapt lessons and explanations to suit different learning styles and academic needs
- Create a structured, patient, and supportive learning environment
- Support students with concept mastery, problem-solving, and exam preparation
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and next steps
- Submit session reports after each lesson to track goals and achievements

Qualifications

- Experience tutoring or teaching high school Physics (required)




- Strong knowledge of the BC Physics curriculum
- Patient, encouraging, and able to connect well with teenagers
- Reliable, professional, and well-organized
- Experience supporting diverse learning needs is an asset
- Education Assistant (EA) / Special Education Assistant (SEA) experience is an asset
- BC Teacher certification preferred but not required
- Strong applicants with a university-level science or engineering background (BSc students, graduates, engineering or pre-med students) are encouraged to apply

Pay: $25.00-$34.00 per hour
