Why is this role important?

Reporting to the Vice President & Chief Operations Officer, Business Operations Division, the Eecutive Director provides enterprise leadership and strategic direction for CIHI’s analytics portfolio, including how CIHI transforms data into meaningful information, insights and products that support decision-making by governments, health systems and other stakeholders. The Eecutive Director leads the evolution and integration of analytical capabilities, methodologies and products, ensuring CIHI’s analytics remain relevant, responsive and increasingly enabled by modern analytical approaches, emerging technologies and AI.

The portfolio is focused on turning CIHI’s data into insight, intelligence and value to assess health-system performance, inform health policy and support health-system management. It inherently has strong interdependencies with Data Management & Standards and Governance & Stewardship,



while maintaining its primary accountability of transforming data into meaningful information, insights and products.

What you'll do

1. Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Analytics portfolio, aligned with CIHI’s mandate, strategic priorities and evolving information needs.
2. Lead the development and eecution of portfolio priorities, plans and initiatives to strengthen CIHI’s analytical capabilities, products and services.
3. Oversee the effective allocation of financial, human and technical resources, ensuring sustainable delivery and value for investment.
4. Drive integration and collaboration across portfolios and functions, identifying and removing organizational, operational and other barriers that inhibit progress and the advancement of enterprise priorities.
5. Strengthen integration across related data, analytics, technology and corporate functions and identify opportunities to improve how analytical work is coordinated and delivered across the organization.
6. Provide eecutive advice on emerging opportunities, risks, priorities and decisions affecting CIHI’s analytical capabilities and longer-term direction.
7. Build strong relationships with internal and eternal partners to advance d objectives and support the relevance, adoption and impact of CIHI’s analytical work.
8. Lead a high-performing, multidisciplinary team and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, inclusion and continuous improvement.
9. Champion change and modernization within the portfolio, challenging established approaches where appropriate and creating the conditions for timely decision-making, eecution and progress.

What you'll bring to the table

- Degree in a relevant discipline including health data analytics, statistics, health, business, technology or a related field. An advanced degree is considered an asset.
- Minimum 10-12 years of progressive eperience leading comple, enterprise-wide portfolios, initiatives and organizational change in a leadership capacity with a focus on analytics, data, research, information or a related environment.




- Strong understanding of analytical practices and the evolving role of analytics, AI and emerging technologies in supporting organizational and health-system priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategy, translate priorities into action and deliver results in comple and evolving environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work across boundaries, manage interdependencies and enable organizational eecution.
- Strong relationship-building, consultation, negotiation, influence and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build alignment among senior leaders and diverse internal and eternal partners.
- Demonstrated judgment and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance strategic priorities, risks, resources and operational considerations.
- Ability to fulfill travel requirements.
- Fluency in English is required, bilingualism in both official languages is an asset.
