Position Summary :

Urban Life Solutions – Forest Ridge Landscaping is looking for experienced and dependable Winter Plow / Salt Truck Drivers to join our winter operations team.

If you are an experienced driver who is comfortable working in winter conditions and wants to be part of a team that keeps commercial and municipal properties safe and accessible during snow events, we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Be Doing ?

You will operate plow trucks equipped with salters to provide snow and ice management services across assigned commercial and municipal properties in the GTA area .

This position requires you to be available for on-call work 24/7 during winter weather events, including evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays. Flexibility with shift schedules and the ability to work extended hours during snow events is essential.

Key Responsibilities :

- Safely operate plow trucks and winter maintenance equipment.
- Plow ,salt, and sand assigned routes using the provided maps.
- Complete pre- and post-trip vehicle and equipment inspections.
- Monitor weather conditions and respond to winter events as required.
- Complete assigned routes according to company and client requirements.
- Record work completed, materials used, and hours worked.
- Report equipment issues, property damage, hazards, or concerns to the supervisor.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Communicate with supervisors and crew throughout winter operations.
- Keep vehicles and equipment clean and report maintenance concerns promptly.
- Assist with other winter maintenance duties as required.

Qualifications :

- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in winter snow removal and plow truck operations is required.
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract.
- Ability to safely operate a plow truck in challenging winter weather and road conditions.
- Strong knowledge of safe driving practices.
- Reliable transportation to and from the Uxbridge yard or assigned work location.
- Ability to be on call 24/7 for winter call-outs.




- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to remain calm and make safe decisions during active winter operations.

Compensation :

- $24+ per hour, depending on experience, position, and reliability.
- Standby bonus available throughout the winter season for eligible employees.
