Kensington Animal Hospital is looking for a receptionist for our small but busy clinic. Our staff are like family and we invite you to be part of it! We are looking for someone who is passionate, caring and has a positive outlook. While experience in the veterinary field is an asset, it is not required.

Some of your responsibilties may include:

- Greeting Clients: Welcome clients and their pets in a friendly and professional manner.
- Scheduling Appointments: Book, confirm, or reschedule appointments for exams, vaccinations, surgeries, etc.
- Answering Phones: Respond to incoming calls, answer questions, take messages, or direct calls to the appropriate staff member.
- Client Communication: Provide clients with updates on their pets’ care, including test results, procedures, and follow-ups.
- Checking in Pets: Collect patient information, including medical history and reasons for visit.
- Processing Payments: Handle payments for services rendered,



including insurance claims and invoicing.
- Maintaining Records: Update and maintain patient files and ensure that records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Handling Pet Files and Medical History: Organize and retrieve patient files for appointments and procedures.
- Maintaining Cleanliness: Ensure the reception area is clean, welcoming, and well-organized.
- Client Education: Provide basic information on preventative care, vaccine schedules, and pet health topics.

Job Type: Full time

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
