Overhead Door Service Tech and Carwash Technician

Chem Tec West is a leading provider of car wash equipment, overhead doors, and chemical solutions throughout Western Canada. We are seeking an experienced Overhead Door Service Technician to join our team.

This is a newly created position combining two key areas of our business: industrial overhead door service and car wash equipment service.

Overhead Door Experience Required - Carwash Wash Experience an Assest, not required.

The successful candidate must have hands-on experience installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial or industrial overhead doors. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills are essential. This position will also be available to cross train and learn how to repair carwash equipment.

Responsibilities

- Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair industrial overhead doors and related equipment
- Respond to occasional emergency service calls when required
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
- Service and repair commercial car wash equipment — training provided
- Prepare quotes and estimates for service, repairs, and installations
- Build relationships with existing customers and develop new business opportunities
- Promote Chem Tec West products and services
- Complete service reports, job documentation, and time records
- Travel throughout the Lower Mainland and surrounding areas

Qualifications

- Proven commercial or industrial overhead door experience – required
- Solid mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills




- Experience with industrial equipment, motors, gearboxes, chains, conveyors, or similar systems
- Ability to work independently and professionally with customers
- Valid driver's licence and clean driver's abstract
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness to respond to occasional emergency service calls
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong work ethic, reliability, integrity, and customer service skills

Assets:

- Automatic door operators and controls
- Electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics troubleshooting
- Car wash equipment repair experience
- Estimating/quoting experience
- CDI certification, and relevant safety training.

Compensation

Base salary plus commission.

Pay: $75,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
