Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Warehouse Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient handling of materials related to fire safety systems and works closely with and reports to our Purchaser to efficiently maintain and manage inventory and orders, ensuring smooth operations as orders are processed in and out. Your expertise will help streamline our distribution processes and support our commitment to safety and quality.

Duties

- Assist trucks to load, unload, and transport materials safely within the warehouse.
- Manage shipping and receiving processes, verifying inbound and outbound shipments with precision.
- Track fire protection stock like control panels, devices, and parts using computer software.
- Pick, pack, and stage materials for technicians and project managers.
- Mark items with identifying codes, such as stock, or inventory control codes.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory, process orders, and update records accurately.
- Work closely with our reports/scheduler team to efficiently maintain and manage inventory and orders.




- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of materials while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment by properly storing materials and conducting regular inspections.
- Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality, contributing to overall team productivity and workflow consistency

Qualifications

- Proven experience operating warehouse equipment or forklifts.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution processes and shipping & receiving procedures.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks consistently throughout shifts.
- Previous warehouse experience in manufacturing or construction environments is preferred.
- Time management and Robust Attention to detail
- Ability to multitask
- Driver's License
- Knowledge of Fire Alarm and Sprinkler parts is not required, but is considered a Very robust asset

Pay: From $43,000.00 per year
