Mar-Quinn Industries Ltd., is a fabrication shop located in Leduc, Alberta, specializing in Modularized Production Equipment & Pressure Vessel Packaged skids, complete with instrumentation and piping for the Oil & Gas industry. We are looking for experienced B-Pressure Welders to work in our pipe and vessel shop (Employee or Contract).

The job entails layout, cutting, prep, fitting, as well as welding at our facility. You will need to be able operate equipment, put together mechanical structures or parts with a great deal of precision. Must be qualified to operate potentially dangerous equipment following all safety precautions. The ideal candidate will also have a steady hand and a outstanding attention to detail. Vessel experience with MiG root and fillet welds an asset.

Responsibilities:

-read blueprints and drawings

-set up components for welding according to specifications

-operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded

-weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions

(vertical,



horizontal, and overhead)

-maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise its safety

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a B Pressure welder

- Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures

- Experience in using electric or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)

- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings

- Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing and all required PPE

- Attention to detail

- Proficient in English

- Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program

- Professional Certification (e.g., B Pressure Certificate)

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: $42.90-$48.05 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
