About Nautix Marine

Nautix Marine is a specialized marine electrical company serving boat owners across Georgian Bay. We design and install lithium battery systems, Victron inverter/charger and solar setups, NMEA 2000 networks, chartplotter and autopilot packages, all built to ABYC E-11 standards. Our work is high-end and referral-driven, and our clients expect it done right the first time. We're growing rapid and need an experienced technician who can own jobs from start to finish.

The Role

This is a senior, hands-on position working directly with the owner. You already know how to wire a boat properly. We're looking for someone who can walk onto a vessel, figure out what's going on, and deliver clean, compliant work with minimal supervision.

What You'll Do

- Design, install, and commission complete DC and AC systems: lithium battery banks, BMS integration, inverter/chargers, alternator charging, solar, and shore power

- Build and troubleshoot Victron systems (Quattro/MultiPlus, Cerbo GX, SmartShunt, MPPT, DVCC, VE.Bus)

- Install and network marine electronics: chartplotters, radar, sonar, autopilots, and NMEA 2000 backbones

- Diagnose electrical faults on everything from runabouts to 60'+ yachts, including split-phase and 240V systems

- Do all wiring to ABYC E-11 standards: proper conductor sizing, overcurrent protection, termination, labelling, and routing

- Document your work with photos, notes,



and as-built details

- Deal with clients and marina staff professionally and represent the company well

- Travel between marinas and client boats around Georgian Bay

What We're Looking For

- 3+ years of hands-on marine electrical experience (land-side electricians with significant marine or RV/mobile DC experience will also be considered)

- Solid understanding of DC and AC marine systems, and of ABYC E-11

- Experience with lithium battery systems and Victron equipment

- Comfortable working independently and managing your own jobs

- Neat, organized, and proud of your work

- Valid Ontario driver's licence and reliable transportation

Assets

- ABYC Marine Electrical Certification (or willing to get it)

- 309A licence or other electrical trade background

- NMEA 2000 / Garmin, Raymarine, or Simrad installation experience

- Boating experience
