We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Sous Chef to join our kitchen team at a busy Dinner Theatre & Buffet. We are seeking someone who truly loves cooking, takes pride in their work, and enjoys creating quality food in a quick-paced, team-oriented workplace.

The Ideal Candidate

- Holds a valid Journeyman Chef certification/papers

- Has a strong passion and genuine love for cooking

- Has professional kitchen and supervisory experience

- Takes pride in food quality, presentation, and consistency

- Works well in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen

- Has strong leadership and communication skills

- Is organized, reliable, and able to lead a team

- Has excellent knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety

- Is comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Responsibilities

- Assist the Executive Chef with the daily operation of the kitchen

- Help oversee and lead kitchen staff during service

- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes for our buffet and dinner theatre service

- Maintain consistent food quality, taste, and presentation





- Assist with menu preparation and food production

- Monitor food inventory, portion control, and waste

- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and kitchen safety procedures are followed

- Help train and mentor kitchen staff

- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen

- Step in and take charge of the kitchen when the Executive Chef is unavailable
