Mine Water Treatment Operator

Location: Camp / FIFO / Drive-in Drive-out
Schedule: 14/14 rotation
Compensation: $40 – $50 per hour + $8/hr night shift premium
Reports to: Director of Operations

Position Overview

LM Operations Inc. is seeking a Mine Water Treatment Operator to support day-to-day water treatment operations at a mine site. This is a hands-on operational role focused on running treatment processes, handling chemicals, operating equipment, conducting sampling and testing, and maintaining high safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor mine water treatment systems and processes
- Prepare and batch chemicals for treatment processes
- Operate filter presses and related dewatering equipment
- Conduct routine water quality sampling and basic chemical testing
- Monitor process performance, record data, and support troubleshooting
- Perform process adjustments based on sampling results and operational parameters
- Maintain accurate operational logs, sampling records, and documentation
- Follow all chemical handling, environmental, and mine-site safety procedures
- Support training and coaching of team members on treatment procedures and safe work practices when required
- Work collaboratively with operations, environmental, and technical teams

Required Qualifications

- Mine site experience required (entry-level to 2–3 years of related experience accepted)
- Practical experience in industrial or mining water treatment environments




- Strong understanding of water treatment processes and systems
- Experience with chemical handling, chemical batching/dosing, and associated safety practices
- Ability to conduct sampling, perform basic chemical tests, and interpret results
- Strong safety orientation with familiarity working under mine-site protocols, PPE, and hazard assessment
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Willingness to work a 14/14 rotation (camp, FIFO, or drive-in drive-out)

Preferred Qualifications

- Wastewater Treatment (WWT) or Water Treatment (WT) certification/tickets
- Experience in wastewater treatment operations, process monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Background in chemistry relevant to water/wastewater treatment
- Diploma or degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Experience operating filter presses
- Valid tickets for telehandler, forklift, and/or skid steer
- Experience with SCADA systems, monitoring tools, or laboratory equipment
- Robust documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to deliver training and coaching on operational and safety procedures

What We Offer

- Competitive hourly rate: $40 – $55/hr
