Shepherd’s Fashions is looking for a highly accurate, dependable and tech-comfortable E-Commerce Product Administrator to join our online store team.

This is a hands-on, computer-based production role. A significant part of your day will be spent at your desk, working through product information and building and maintaining products in Shopify. There is a lot of data entry. There is repetition. There are busy periods when you may be responsible for getting dozens of products accurately built and ready for our online store.

If you are someone who likes putting your head down, working through a list and getting things done — you may love this job.

We aren't looking for a strategist. We are looking for someone who takes pride in doing excellent work, learns systems quickly, pays exceptional attention to detail and can be counted on to get the work done accurately and on time.

What You'll Do

Working as part of our e-commerce team, you will help build and maintain the products customers see on shepherdsfashions.com.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Creating and updating products in Shopify
- Creating and editing product descriptions, and entering colours, sizes, variants, pricing and inventory information
- Working with collections, tags and metafields
- Measuring garments to ensure our online size charts are accurate
- Supporting other e-commerce product and data projects as required

The role will evolve as you become more experienced with our systems and processes.

Accuracy is paramount in this position.

We understand that everyone is human, but we need someone who naturally double-checks their work,



notices when something doesn't look right and takes the extra moment to verify information rather than assuming.

At the same time, this is a high-volume environment. You need to be able to work accurately and efficiently.

Technology

You do not need to be an IT expert, but you absolutely need to be comfortable with technology.

Experience with Shopify is a very strong asset. If you already understand products, variants, collections, tags, metafields and inventory within Shopify, we definitely want to hear from you.

You should also be comfortable with:

- Windows-based computers
- Excel and CSV files
- Learning new software and systems
- Using AI tools appropriately to assist with product information and descriptions

Basic Excel skills are required. More advanced Excel and data-management experience would be an asset.

Previous experience in any of the following would be valuable:

- Shopify
- E-commerce operations and product creation
- Product data entry or product administration
- High-volume data entry
- Excel/CSV-based work
- Retail systems
- Online merchandising

French Is a Strong Asset

Shepherd's is actively growing our French-language business, so bilingualism in English and French would be a significant asset for this position.

We work with professional translation support, so you do not need to be a qualified translator. However, someone who can comfortably work with product information in both languages and help prepare French-language content would bring additional value to our team.

Schedule & Location

This is a full-time, in-person position at Shepherd's Fashions in Ottawa Train Yards.

Initial training will take place Monday through Friday. As the role develops, there may eventually be opportunities or requirements to provide weekend support depending on the needs of the business.

This is not a remote or hybrid position.
