Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Extrusion Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating extrusion machinery, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a safe and effective work environment. Duties
- Set up, operate, and monitor extrusion machinery to produce high-quality products according to specifications
- Adjust machine parameters using programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimize performance
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on extrusion equipment
- Conduct quality inspections using calipers and other hand tools to ensure product standards are met
- Maintain accurate production records and document any machine issues or deviations
- Assist with assembly, packaging, and warehousing tasks as needed
- Utilize CNC lathe or CNC equipment for precision machining when required
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying areas for process improvement and waste reduction
- Operate forklifts safely for material handling within the warehouse or production area
- Follow safety protocols and participate in quality inspection procedures to uphold safety standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing, machining, or warehouse environments preferred
- Mechanical knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CNC lathe, CNC machinery, and hand tools
- Ability to read basic math measurements and use calipers for quality inspection
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles is a plus
- Strong understanding of quality control procedures and assembly processes
- Ability to operate forklifts safely (certification preferred)
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Prior experience in extrusion operations or related manufacturing roles is highly desirable
This position provides a vital role in our production line, requiring technical skills combined with a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 44.0 per week
