JOB DESCRIPTION

The Tool and Die repair will be responsible for repair, troubleshooting, maintenance of progressive and transfer dies for use in 250 ton to 1320 ton presses. All presses are steel coil feed for the production of metal automotive parts.

SHIFT AVAILABLE

- Afternoon Shift: 3:15 pm to 1:45 am Monday to Thursday

SPECIFIC DUTIES

- Repair and troubleshoot dies for metal stamping production dies.
- Provide timely in-press support to troubleshoot issues, limiting downtime tied to die performance.
- Responsible for ensuring production dies are maintained for peak efficiency.
- Ensure proper production quality documentation and procedures are followed.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- 5+ years experience with metal stamping die repair and troubleshooting of progressive and transfer tools.
- Minimum of 3 years as a licensed Tool & Die Maker (430A) in a metal stamping press environment performing maintenance of progressive dies and transfer tools.




- Strong organizational skills, hands-on approach to solving problems, able to work proactively and independently, ability to prioritize activities.
- Experience with tool steel TIG Welding is an asset
- Reading and interpreting die design blueprints.
- Operation of Overhead Crane is an asset

COMPENSATION and BENEFITS

- $33.00 - $39.00 per hour
- $0.75 per hour premium for Afternoon Shift
- Company paid Healthcare Benefits after 3 months
