Intlvac Thin Film is a high tech industrial manufacturing company based in Halton Hills (Georgetown), Ontario. Intlvac is currently seeking a Mechanical and Automation Fitter/Assembler to support our manufacturing team.

Salary range is $22 to $25 per hour depending on experience.

Summary:

Intlvac is looking for a versatile, reliable and motivated individual to join our team. The successful candidate would work in a hands-on capacity as part of the manufacturing team in our assembly department. This is not a designer position.

Responsibilities:

· Assemble high purity gas and coolant lines in our thin film coating machinery

· Assist with System assembly

· Measure and mark tubes for cutting

· Tubing system layouts, installations and repairs according to specifications

· Modify, clean and maintain air & tube systems, units, fittings and related machines and equipment, following specifications using hand and power tools

· Perform QA checks

· Maintain workplace

· Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience:

· Mechanical fitting and assembly experience:



2 years minimum preferred

· Ability to operate hand tools such as saws, facing tools, cutting torches

· Ability to conduct leak testing using various methods

· Ability to read technical drawings

· Fine motor skills for hands-on assembly and machining tasks

· Quality conscious, continuous improvement mindset

· Strong desire to learn

· Common sense, attention to detail and good problem solving skills

· Ability to be on your feet and/or lift up to 50lbs on an occasional basis; ability to do repetitive work

· Preference given to individuals with experience in machine building/repair, auto mechanics, motor repair or any similar hobby that indicates an interest and aptitude for hands-on mechanical activities

· Only candidates legally permitted to work in Canada will be considered for this position
