Senior Construction Superintendent – ICI Major Projects

A prominent and well-established General Contractor specializing in large Institutional and Industrial construction projects is seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to join its team in the Greater Toronto Area.

This is a senior site leadership opportunity for a Superintendent with a strong track record delivering complex ICI and infrastructure construction projects valued at $25 million–$50 million+ from construction through completion.

THE ROLE

As Senior Superintendent, you will take overall responsibility for site operations and the successful delivery of large-scale construction projects. You will work closely with the Project Manager and senior leadership team while providing overall site supervision and coordinating trades, subcontractors, consultants and site personnel.

Key responsibilities include:

- Lead day-to-day site operations on large Institutional, Industrial and infrastructure construction projects
- Manage projects valued at $25M–$50M+
- Provide overall site supervision and leadership throughout construction
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades and site personnel
- Develop and maintain construction schedules and short-term work plans
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard of quality
- Proactively identify and resolve site, scheduling and constructability issues
- Coordinate inspections, consultants, owners and other project stakeholders
- Monitor project progress and ensure key milestones are achieved




- Maintain strong site documentation and reporting
- Provide leadership and mentorship to Assistant Superintendents and other site staff

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The successful candidate will have:

- 10 years+ experience as a Superintendent or Senior Superintendent with a General Contractor, delivering large-scale ICI construction projects
- A robust background in Institutional and Industrial construction, as well as large ICI and/or infrastructure projects
- Experience managing projects in the $25M–$50M+ range
- Experience with ground-up construction and complex project delivery
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling, construction management and site coordination
- Excellent leadership, site supervision and subcontractor management skills
- A proven ability to manage complex projects in demanding construction environments
- Strong knowledge of Ontario construction practices and health & safety requirements
- Experience taking major projects from construction through turnover and closeout
- Previous construction experience on large infrastructure projects within the GTA and Southern Ontario

COMPENSATION

$150,000–$200,000, depending on experience, plus a competitive benefits package.
