Our client is a growing indoor vertical farming operation producing premium herbs and leafy greens year-round using controlled environment agriculture technology.

They are seeking an experienced Farm Operations Manager to oversee crop production, environmental systems, facility operations, and team leadership.

What You’ll Do

- Oversee daily crop production, from seeding through harvesting and packaging
- Develop production schedules and monitor crop health, quality and yields
- Manage nutrient, irrigation, pH and EC programs
- Monitor lighting, HVAC, irrigation, dehumidification and environmental control systems
- Analyze crop and environmental data and troubleshoot production issues
- Recruit, train, schedule and supervise production staff
- Develop and maintain SOPs, sanitation and food safety programs
- Manage production records, inventory, KPIs and labour efficiency
- Coordinate preventative maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives
- Work with ownership to align production with customer demand and business goals

What We’re Looking For

- Diploma/degree in Horticulture, Plant Science, Agriculture, Crop Science, Greenhouse Production or a related field, or 5+ years of relevant supervisory experience
- Commercial growing experience




- Supervisory or management experience
- Experience with hydroponic or controlled-workplace production systems
- Solid horticultural knowledge and problem-solving skills
- Excellent leadership, organization and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production recordkeeping

Assets:

- Vertical farming or greenhouse experience
- Experience growing leafy greens and culinary herbs
- Knowledge of fertigation, irrigation and environmental control systems
- Food safety certification such as HACCP, SQF or CanadaGAP
- WHMIS and First Aid/CPR certification

Pay: $25.00-$50.00 per hour
