Village Orthodontics is looking for a friendly, organized and motivated Certified Dental Assistant Level II to join our orthodontic team in Ottawa, Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:

- Bring patients in for their visit in an enthusiastic way, building a personal connection at every visit.
- Assist with orthodontic procedures including bonding, banding, aligners, arch wires, debonding and appliance inserts.
- Take diagnostic records including X-rays, intraoral and extraoral photographs and iTero scans.
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments, supplies and equipment.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments in accordance with infection prevention and control protocols.
- Organize, clean and maintain a clean and sterile clinical workplace.
- Support efficient patient flow by preparing treatment areas and assisting chairside as required.
- Provide oral hygiene and appliance instructions to patients as directed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.




- Maintain a positive attitude and work cohesively with fellow team members to provide an atmosphere of trust, respect and cooperation.
- Perform additional duties delegated or assigned by the Orthodontist or leadership team.

What we’re looking for:

- Certified Dental Assistant Level II required
- HARP certification required
- Successful completion of a Dental Assisting program
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to make patients feel comfortable and at ease
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Previous orthodontic experience is preferred but not required
- Orthodontic Module is considered an asset
- Experience with dental or orthodontic software is considered an asset
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment

Location: Ottawa, Ontario
