At Yo-Yo Cookies®, we're looking for friendly, enthusiastic people to join our retail team. Every day, you'll meet visitors from across Canada and around the world while representing one of the Maritimes’ best-known premium food brands.

You need to be outgoing, as you are in a market situation and we expect lots of interaction. This is much more than standing behind a counter. We're looking for people who genuinely enjoy talking with customers, sharing our story, making sales, and creating memorable experiences that keep people coming back.

Your Availability & Assigned Shifts

This position requires a commitment through November 5, 2026.

Applicants must be available to work a minimum of four shifts per week and afternoons for most of them.

We operate seven days a week, and assigned shifts may fall on any day of the week, Monday through Sunday. Shifts will generally be between 4 and 7 hours in length.

Applicants therefore need sufficient weekday and weekend availability to accommodate their assigned schedule - Afternoons are required - 12 noon until close weekdays and weekends

Employees provide their availability in advance; however, individual shifts are assigned by Yo-Yo Cookies® based on operational requirements, including cruise ship schedules, customer demand, and staffing requirements.

Applicants must have sufficient availability to accept a minimum of four assigned shifts per week, including both weekdays and weekends.

What You'll Be Doing

- Welcoming locals, tourists, and cruise ship visitors.




- Creating memorable customer experiences.
- Approaching and engaging customers.
- Recommending products, offering samples, and confidently making sales.
- Sharing the Yo-Yo Cookies® story and introducing customers to our premium products.
- Learning our products so you can confidently answer customer questions.
- Processing customer transactions accurately.
- Restocking products and maintaining displays.
- Keeping the store clean, organized, fully stocked, and looking its best throughout every shift.
- Working independently and taking responsibility for operating the store during your assigned shift.

- Comfortable working independently without another employee present for portions of their shift.
- Able to take responsibility for operating the retail location during their shift.
- Proud of maintaining a beautiful, clean, and well-presented retail environment.
- Excited to learn about our products and represent our brand with enthusiasm.

Retail Experience

We're particularly interested in applicants with experience in specialty retail, boutique stores, gift shops, tourism, premium food retail, fashion retail, or similar customer-focused sales environments.

Because this position focuses on building customer relationships and actively selling premium products, applicants with consultative or customer-focused retail sales experience will be given preference.

This role is best suited to someone who enjoys engaging with customers and actively making sales rather than simply processing transactions.

Shift Information

- We operate 7 days a week.




- Applicants must be available for a minimum of 4 shifts per week.
- Shifts may fall on any day from Monday through Sunday.
- Operating hours can range from approximately 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
- Shifts will generally be 4–7 hours in length.
- Many shifts are worked independently.
