Guard-It Security Inc. is building a reliable team of licensed security professionals to support our growing operations throughout the Greater Toronto Area.

This is a casual, on-call position for individuals who want to pick up available shifts based on their availability. Hours are not guaranteed at the beginning; however, dependable guards who perform well will be considered first for future shifts and more regular part-time or full time assignments as new contracts become available.

Assignments may include:

- Special events and private functions
- Condominiums and residential properties
- Commercial and industrial properties
- Construction sites
- Mobile patrol and neighbourhood security
- Access control and concierge-style security
- Crowd control and venue security

Responsibilities

- Monitor assigned areas and identify suspicious activity
- Control access and verify authorized entry
- Conduct regular foot or vehicle patrols
- Respond professionally to incidents and emergencies
- Complete accurate shift, patrol and incident reports
- Follow site-specific procedures and company policies
- Maintain a professional and visible security presence
- Communicate clearly with clients, supervisors and members of the public
- Arrive on time and remain in proper uniform throughout the shift

Requirements

- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Reliable,



punctual and able to accept shifts
- Smartphone with data for scheduling, GPS clock-in and reporting
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- Ability to work evenings, overnight shifts, weekends and holidays when available
- Reliable transportation is strongly preferred
- Use of Force Training is strongly preferred
- Clubs, Bars and Event Security experience strongly preferred

Significant Scheduling Information

This position is best suited for guards looking to supplement their current schedule and become part of our growing staffing roster. Shifts will be offered as contracts and assignments become available. Applicants must understand that regular weekly hours are not guaranteed at the beginning.

Pay: $17.95-$22.00 per hour
