Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance operations at our facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance, possess leadership qualities, and be proficient in managing a team.

Description

Under the direction of the Plant Manager, determine maintenance priorities and monitor maintenance assignments to ensure quality workmanship and specification compliance. Interact with other plant departments to ensure proper functioning of all systems in the facility.

- Performance management of Maintenance employees.
- Perform delegation of maintenance tasks to employees regarding equipment, buildings, and grounds as required.
- Schedule and direct maintenance personnel to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Manage projects adhering to work schedules and budgets.
- Delegating maintenance responsibilities to maintenance team members.
- The ability to handle grievances, conduct investigations and deliver necessary corrective actions as required.
- Ensure optimal levels of inventory to minimize downtime while decreasing inventory costs.
- Recommend and initiate purchase of repair materials and spare parts inventory.
- Coordinate and supervise work of outside contractors as required.
- Ensures occupational health/safety, environmental policies and procedures are followed by the staff.
- Direct, maintain,



and enforce the safety program with the maintenance department.
- Work in conjunction with purchasing staff in regard to parts orders for equipment breakdowns.
- Other duties as assigned.

Competencies

- Must have technical skills and knowledge of various trade such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration.
- Broiler experience and asset
- Must have good problem-solving skills
- Excellent trouble shooting and analytical skills.
- Food or agricultural industry experience is an asset.

Pay: $69,000.00-$73,000.00 per year
