Clare's Cycle & Sports is looking for a Full-Time Service Writer. We are a family owned and operated business since 1955. We have been established as one of the premiere motorcycle dealers in Ontario. The dealership strives to be involved with the motorcycle community, making appearances at several major local events, and host many of its own.

Supervisor: Service Manager

Service Writer Job Description:

- Perform a visual walk-around inspection of all bikes and record customer interests and concerns accurately and clearly on work order
- Manage all work order documents, files, and supporting data according to established best practice
- Work with mechanics to estimate costs and completion times and communicate them to the customer in a professional manner
- Suggest opportunities for customers to maintain, enhance and/or personalize their motorcycles
- Assist in creating estimates for internal and wreck repairs
- Review work-in-progress to support quality and timeliness




- Assist in preparation of warranty claims, recall forms and extended service contract claims
- Perform cashier functions in support of the department
- Become familiar and efficient with those phases of the computer system used within the department
- Become familiar with and follow warranty guidelines put forth by Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, KTM and CF Moto
- Handle telephone transactions
- Assist Parts Department when necessary

Qualifications & Job Requirements:

Must have outgoing, friendly personality and superior communication and Customer service skills

- Experience with computer systems or the ability and willingness to learn quickly
- Knowledge of motorcycles and powersports considered an asset

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Every Weekend
- Tuesday to Saturday
