Serving Southern New Brunswick, TerraEX is a family owned and operated heavy civil construction company. TerraEX has been in business since 2001 and specializes in site development, site services, demolition, municipal infrastructure, and landscaping, working with private development and all levels of government.

We currently have an opening for Heavy Equipment Operator to join our growing team, located in Saint John, NB and surrounding areas. We are looking for a hard working and dedicated individual who will work closely with our foremen and project managers to help achieve our daily and weekly goals.

Responsibilities:

- Backfilling; ditching; excavating; rough grading; grubbing; sub-grade excavating; trenching; material handling; slope grooming and; snow removal;
- Operate heavy equipment in a safe manner;
- Secure special attachments to equipment;
- Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance to equipment;
- Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment;
- Operate hydraulic pumping systems;
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times;
- Complete daily paperwork detailing job hours and job hazards;
- Comply with all company policies and procedures;




- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment;
- Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks;
- Maintain a clean site and organization of materials;
- Complete daily paperwork requirements;
- Operate with integrity and according to building practices.

Requirements:

- Class 5 with an acceptable driving record as well as having a means of transportation;
- 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment;
- Ability to use tools and equipment required to perform the work;
- Ability to follow protected working procedures;
- Excellent observation skills and a strong attention to detail;
- Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team.
