Job Overview

RBG Engineering Inc. is a small structural engineering firm serving contractors, architects, BCIN designers, developers and property and home owners. We are seeking a part-time dynamic and dedicated Structural Engineering Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will be designing, drafting, and managing structural engineering contracts across a diverse range of residential and commercial renovations and new build construction projects.

Responsibilities

- Develop detailed structural drawings using AutoCAD
- Complete basic structural engineering calculations
- Assist in creating technical documents including drawings, reports, letters and PDF Markups
- Collaborate with architects, designers, contractors and other clients

Experience





- Experience as a Structural Engineering Technologist or Draftsperson within the construction or civil engineering industry
- Understanding of structural engineering building design utilizing materials including wood, steel, concrete and CMU design
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD
- Knowledge of industry standards and the Ontario Building Code (Part 4 and Part 9)
- Proficient in English

Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1.0 – 15.0 per week
