Senior Watch Inc. and Care-Ed Learning Centre are seeking a qualified and compassionate nurse to support our home care operations and Personal Support Worker training program. This combined role includes providing nursing care to clients, supervising home support staff, teaching PSW students, and assisting with administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Home Care Nursing

- Conduct client assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide nursing care within the nurse’s professional scope of practice.
- Monitor clients’ health conditions and document changes.
- Communicate with clients, families, healthcare professionals and Social Development representatives.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
- Respond appropriately to changes in clients’ health or safety.

Staff Supervision

- Supervise and support Personal Support Workers and home support staff.
- Provide staff orientation, training, coaching and performance feedback.
- Conduct home visits and quality-assurance checks.
- Review care notes, incident reports and staff documentation.
- Assist with scheduling and coordination of client services.
- Promote compliance with company policies, care standards and workplace safety requirements.

PSW Instruction

- Teach Personal Support Worker courses through Care-Ed Learning Centre.
- Deliver theory lessons and practical skills training.
- Prepare lesson plans, learning materials and student assessments.
- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain attendance, grades and other required academic records.
- Support students in developing safe,



professional and person-centred care skills.
- Assist with clinical and practicum preparation, supervision and evaluation.

Office and Administrative Support

- Assist with client intake, documentation and filing.
- Respond professionally to telephone calls and emails.
- Support scheduling, reporting and record maintenance.
- Participate in staff meetings and program planning.
- Help improve internal procedures and service quality.

Qualifications

- Licensed or eligible for registration as a nurse in New Brunswick.
- Nursing education and relevant clinical experience.
- Experience in home care, long-term care, community nursing or senior care is preferred.
- Knowledge of PSW responsibilities and person-centred care.
- Strong teaching, coaching and supervisory abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation may be required.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification and required background checks.
- Office administration, scheduling, documentation and computer skills are considered assets.
- Previous teaching or adult-education experience is considered an asset.

The successful candidate will be compassionate, dependable, organized and committed to maintaining high standards in both client care and student education. They should be comfortable moving between clinical care, staff supervision, classroom instruction and administrative duties.

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
