Cashier – Full-Time / Part-Time

We are looking for reliable and friendly Cashiers to join our Lucky Supermarket South team in Surrey, BC.

Responsibilities

- Operate the cash register and POS system accurately.
- Process cash, debit, credit card, and other approved payments.
- Scan items and calculate the total payment for purchases.
- Receive payments and provide accurate change and receipts.
- Balance and reconcile payments received with total sales at the end of the shift.
- Greet customers and provide friendly customer service.
- Assist customers with questions and product inquiries.
- Assist customers with self-checkout when required.
- Bag or package customers' purchases.
- Weigh produce and bulk food items accurately.
- Stock shelves and maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Participate in store promotions and suggestive selling.




- Verify customer age when required for age-restricted products.
- Follow store policies, cash-handling procedures, and loss-prevention procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Previous cashier or customer service experience is an asset.
- Comfortable handling cash and using a POS system.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Able to work efficiently in a rapid-paced grocery store environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
- Must be available for assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
