Hands-On Property Manager / Skilled in all trades

Barrie-Orillia / Severn / Kawartha Lakes Area
Full-Time | $35–$45/hour, based on experience

Successful Candidate to take responsibility for the day-to-day maintenance and operation of private residential/recreational properties in the Barrie/Orillia/Severn and Kawartha Lakes areas.

Job Description

Responsibilities to include:

- Perform general property maintenance and repairs
- Carpentry, drywall, painting and minor repairs
- Basic plumbing and electrical troubleshooting
- Inspect properties and identify maintenance requirements
- Manage preventative and seasonal maintenance
- Coordinate and supervise contractors and service technicians
- Obtain quotes and follow projects through to completion
- Maintain water systems, generators and other property equipment
- Complete landscaping, snow removal and exterior maintenance
- Maintain docks and waterfront areas
- Maintain garages, shops and storage areas
- Coordinate vehicle servicing, detailing and seasonal tire changes
- Coordinate servicing of boats, trailers, ATVs/UTVs and property equipment
- Pick up materials, parts and supplies
- Receive deliveries and meet installers
- Maintain household/property supplies and inventory
- Prepare properties before the owner's arrival
- Assist with setup when the lodge is being used for guests or events




- Respond to occasional property issues or emergencies
- Maintain a simple property maintenance and task-management system

The ideal candidate has significant practical experience in areas such as:

- General contracting
- Construction
- Carpentry
- Construction supervision
- Property maintenance
- Facilities management

Requirements

- Valid Ontario driver's licence and valuable driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Strong practical maintenance/construction knowledge
- Comfortable operating common tools and equipment
- Physically capable of normal property-maintenance activities
- Comfortable working outdoors year-round
- Able to travel between properties
- Strong references
- Background check required

Experience operating trucks, trailers, tractors, ATVs/UTVs and similar equipment would be an asset.

Compensation

$35–$45 per hour, based on experience and capability.

Approximately 40 hours per week with some flexibility depending upon property requirements and season.
