Job Overview

Heat-Line is seeking a dependable and hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician to support both our manufacturing operations and the general maintenance of our facility, equipment, and property.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, problem-solving, and variety throughout the day. The successful candidate will assist with manufacturing and assembly activities while also completing preventative and reactive maintenance, minor repairs, property upkeep, and equipment support.

Responsibilities

Manufacturing and Production

- Work safely and efficiently in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
- Follow established production guidelines, specifications, and work instructions.
- Produce and assemble products, components, and parts.
- Operate and maintain production-line tools and equipment.
- Support the production line and work toward established production requirements.
- Use computer applications to assist with manufacturing and inventory-related processes.
- Organize and store materials and inventory in their designated locations.
- Identify and report production, equipment, quality, or safety concerns to the supervisor or manager on duty.





Facilities and Equipment Maintenance

- Complete preventative and reactive maintenance throughout the facility.
- Troubleshoot and respond to facility-related concerns reported by employees.
- Perform general carpentry, painting, mechanical, and basic plumbing maintenance and repairs.
- Repair and maintain tools, production equipment, and facility-related equipment.
- Assist with the coordination of approved outside contractors and report incomplete work or deficiencies.
- Complete and maintain maintenance logs and other related records.
- Collect and remove garbage and recyclable materials.
- Clean and maintain exterior areas, including entranceways and parking areas.
- Remove snow and apply salt to exterior areas using appropriate equipment, including a tractor and shovel.
- Operate a tractor or similar equipment when completing seasonal property-maintenance activities.
- Maintain the company’s yard and garden areas, including routine landscaping, lawn care, weeding, watering, trimming, seasonal cleanup, and general upkeep to ensure the grounds remain clean, safe, and well-maintained.

General Responsibilities

- Follow all company health and safety standards, procedures, and safe-work practices.




- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.
- Communicate effectively with Production, Operations, and other team members.
- Support different areas of the operation based on production and facility requirements.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- · High school diploma or equivalent.
- Manufacturing, facilities maintenance, mechanical, construction, or related hands-on experience is considered an asset.
- Comfortable using computers and basic workplace applications.
- Experience with ERP or warehouse-management software, such as NetSuite, is considered an asset.
- Basic math skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions, specifications, and safety procedures.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Experience operating a Kubota tractor or similar equipment is preferred.
- Working from Heights certification is considered an asset.
- Ability to safely lift and move materials and equipment associated with the position.
- Police check required.

Pay: $26.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week
