Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Flagger to join our construction team, playing a vital role in ensuring safety and smooth traffic flow around active work zones. The Flagger will be responsible for directing vehicular and pedestrian traffic using standardized hand signals and signage, maintaining safety protocols, and supporting the overall efficiency of construction operations. Duties

- Safely direct traffic around construction sites using clear hand signals, signs, and flagging devices in accordance with established safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with construction crews, drivers, and pedestrians to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with traffic control plans.
- Set up and remove traffic control devices such as cones, barriers, and signage to establish safe work zones.
- Monitor traffic flow continuously and adjust flagging operations as needed to accommodate changing site conditions.
- Assist in maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to all safety regulations and reporting hazards or incidents promptly.
- Support the setup of temporary detours or lane closures as directed by project supervisors.




- Collaborate with team members to ensure all traffic control equipment is properly maintained and stored.

Requirements

- Prior construction experience preferred, especially in traffic control or flagging roles.
- Knowledge of traffic control procedures, signage, and flagging standards.
- Ability to operate basic construction equipment is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills for clear interaction with drivers, pedestrians, and team members.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks in various weather conditions.
- Valid certification in flagging or traffic control (preferred but not required; training available).

MUST HAVE

- CSTS 2020 and Flagger safety ticket
- PPE Steel toes, Vest, gloves, Glasses.
