About the Venue

Since opening in 2001, Murrietas Bar and Grill has cemented itself as a Calgary dining institution — an award-winning, high-energy, architecturally designed restaurant, tucked away in the Alberta Hotel building. Known for its vibrant atmosphere, classic North American flavors, classic cocktails, and polished service, Murrieta's Calgary continues to set the benchmark for casual dining in Calgary.

As we continue to evolve, we are excited to introduce ALVA by Murrieta’s, opening this summer in the Edison Building. (right next door to our current location) with the idea after being trained in Murrieta's you'll come across to Alva with the team

About the Role

We’re seeking confident and professional Bartenders to join our front-of-house team and help deliver a seamless, memorable dining experience to every guest.

This opportunity is open to both Full-Time and Casual applicants. Whether you’re looking for stability and growth or flexibility to suit your lifestyle, we offer a supportive environment with consistent service standards and strong team culture.

As a bartender, you will take ownership of your section behind our bar — providing warm, intuitive service, strong product knowledge, and precise attention to detail throughout each service.

Working closely with senior FOH leaders, you’ll play a key role in maintaining service flow,



upselling responsibly, and ensuring guests feel genuinely looked after from arrival to farewell.

What We’re Looking For

- Experience as a bartender in a quality restaurant or cocktail bar environment
- Strong understanding of food and beverage service, including spirits, beer, cocktails and wine basics.
- Be a solid team player
- Confident, professional communication skills
- A sales-minded approach that enhances both guest experience and business outcomes
- Strong time management, organization, and attention to detail
- A calm, professional presence during fast-paced services
- Availability for afternoons ,evenings and weekends
