This position is based on-site at our Edmonton dealership.

Big West Ford is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician (Electrical) to join our Service Department.

Job Duties

- Diagnose and repair automotive electrical and electronic systems
- Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs as assigned
- Identify the source of mechanical or electrical concerns and complete required repairs
- Inspect vehicles and identify additional safety or service requirements
- Communicate repair findings and required work clearly with Service Advisors
- Complete warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications
- Road test vehicles as required to verify concerns and completed repairs
- Stay current with changing automotive technology through ongoing technical training
- Follow all dealership safety policies and procedures
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Skills & Experience

- Journeyman Automotive Service Technician certification with Red Seal
- Strong automotive electrical diagnostic and repair experience
- Ford dealership or Ford vehicle experience is required
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills




- Valid driver's licence and safe driving record
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Professional attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including standing for extended periods and lifting as required
- Comfortable using power tools, diagnostic equipment, and hand tools
- Must be willing to complete a background check prior to employment
