Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This role is essential in preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring a smooth kitchen operation. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation and cooking, with a passion for delivering excellent food service in a fast-paced environment.

We need a team member who is adaptable, reliable, friendly, and passionate about the food service industry. We are a growing small business and we are looking for someone who is ready to grow with us.

You’ll at least have 1-2 years experience in hospitality, a drive to learn and grow, and be dependable.

For the right team member with initiative, there are growth opportunities including training, promotions, full-time hours, and raises. We also share tips with all our team members (usually an extra $2 per hour). Weekend availability is required.

Duties

- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Cook menu items efficiently while maintaining quality, consistency, and safety standards
- Handle food with care, adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols
- Assist in food prep tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, kitchen equipment, and storage areas throughout shifts
- Support the team during busy service hours by ensuring timely meal preparation and service
- Follow all food safety regulations and restaurant policies to ensure a safe dining environment

Experience

- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting ideal
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen safety practices
- Familiarity with serving guests efficiently and courteously in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with meal preparation, food handling, and maintaining cleanliness standards in the kitchen
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members and follow instructions precisely
- Basic understanding of the food industry standards for hygiene, safety, and quality assurance

Pay: $17.60-$24.80 per hour
