ABOUT THE POSITION

Reporting to the Manager of the parenting program, you will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring coordination of the supervised visitation and exchange services for the supervised access program. The program worker supervises visits, ensures that the program guidelines are respected, assigns volunteer visit monitors to families, answers questions and concerns from clients and volunteer visit monitors, defuses potential conflicts, reviews observation notes, and collects and records program fees.

Major Responsibilities:

- Monitor and facilitate safe, neutral, and childfocused supervised visits and exchanges
- Update program lineups and inform clients of schedule changes or cancellations
- Prepare visit spaces and activities to ensure a welcoming and appropriate environment
- Ensure all participants adhere to program guidelines and intervene as required
- Supervise visits (up to two hours) when volunteer visit monitors are unavailable
- Provide onsite support and orientation to volunteer visit monitors
- Respond to client questions, concerns, and potential conflicts with professionalism
- Review visit observation notes for accuracy and completeness by the end of the shift




- Complete and file critical incident reports as required
- Collect program fees, issue receipts, and maintain accurate payment records
- Maintain a tidy and safe visit site; ensure supplies are returned and stored properly
- Prepare and photocopy documents as required for program delivery
- Attend mandatory staff training and Supervised Access Program meetings
- Administer client satisfaction or outcome surveys as directed
- Perform other related duties as required

ABOUT YOU

You are calm, responsible, and respectful in your interactions with children, families, and colleagues. You are comfortable working in emotionally charged environments and can de-escalate situations while maintaining professional boundaries. You value teamwork, accurate documentation, and clientcentered service delivery.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Q Minimum Grade 12 education, with some postsecondary coursework in social services or a related field
- At least two (2) years of related experience
- Experience working with diverse populations, including variations in culture, race, socioeconomic status, gender identity/expression, and sexual orientation
- Basic understanding of child custody, access, and family dynamics
- Knowledge of childcentered and traumainformed approaches
- Awareness of domestic violence dynamics and family conflict
- Strong interpersonal and conflictmanagement skills
- Ability to maintain accurate and timely records
- Nonviolent crisis intervention skills
- Basic First Aid (asset)
- Bilingual (English and French) preferred

- Availability to work evenings and weekends
