If so, Supported Lifestyles is looking for an Accounting Generalist to join our supportive and diverse administration team.
Supported Lifestyles Ltd. is a not-for-profit agency that provides services to individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges. Our mission is to provide highly specialized, quality supports to individuals with complex disabilities.

As part of our administration team, you’ll work collaboratively with Accounting Assistants, an Accountant, and a Contract Specialist to help support the financial and operational needs of the organization.

Responsibilities:
- Process semi-monthly payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
- Perform Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee payroll files.
- Complete account reconciliations and assist with resolving discrepancies.
- Prepare and mail invoices.
- Work closely with the accounting team to ensure financial information is accurate and up to date.
- Manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Support the accounting department with administrative and financial tasks as required.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum of one year of formal education in payroll or accounting.
- Previous experience working with ADP and Sage is preferred.
- Experience processing large and complex payrolls is considered an asset.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Self-starter with a high degree of initiative and accountability.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $53,841.82 to $64,661.44. We also offer a competitive perks package and opportunities for growth and career advancement.
Schedule:
This is a full time position with a typical 40-hour workweek, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Some flexibility in hours is required for this position.
Work Location:
This is an in-person position based in Calgary.
