Position Summary
This position provides support to administrators, parents, staff and students in order to maintain a smooth-running school office. This position provides a professional working atmosphere and needs to project a positive attitude and strong public relations skills.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Manage front-line reception to maintain a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment for students, families, staff, and visitors.
- Direct incoming inquiries by screening telephone calls and greeting walk-in visitors with a helpful, service-oriented approach.
- Update school website and facilitate the timely distribution of digital communications and newsletters via SchoolZone.
- Administer routine first aid to students, manage student medication records, and strictly follow established medical, accident and injury protocols.
- Organize student transportation, including managing bus lists, tracking bus attendance, and assisting parents with bus service inquiries and applications.
- Process daily student attendance and assist with student registrations, record updates, and student verification forms.
Manage and verify student sign-outs or attendance changes by verifying parent/guardian permissions and accurately recording data in PowerSchool.
- Education/Qualifications
- completion of a post-secondary program in a relevant course of study
- a minimum of one-year experience, preferably in a school workplace
- ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
- exceptional customer service orientation
- excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, PowerSchool, SchoolZone
First Aid
- Rate of Pay
$26.09 - $30.32 per hour
