Our energy & resources client is seeking a AI Strategy & Enablement Support Role (1+ years) to support AI governance, portfolio management, and AI initiative delivery using GenAI / AI/ML and Power BI

Join a team supporting AI strategy execution and governance initiatives within a large-scale energy and resources environment. This role contributes to AI governance processes, portfolio management, business case development, and AI opportunity prioritization across business, operational, data, and technology teams. The position supports AI initiatives from concept through implementation while contributing to reporting, dashboards, and executive-ready materials.

The role offers exposure to AI governance, AI/ML initiatives, and enterprise data platforms within a cross-functional delivery environment.

Contract, Toronto, North York 5 days on site

Must Haves

- Project management supporting governance processes, strategic initiatives, or organizational transformation programs
- Working knowledge of GenAI / AI/ML and enterprise data platforms including Databricks
- Proficiency with Power BI and MS Excel Power Query for reporting and dashboard development
- Business cases, governance summaries, AI use case evaluation, and portfolio reporting
- Post‑secondary certificate/diploma or university degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data/Analytics, Engineering, or related

Nice to Have
- Records and information management exposure including retention, classification, and audit readiness
- Working knowledge of data governance including standards, data quality, and issue management
- Familiarity with cloud/data platforms and enterprise portfolio tools such as Copperleaf
- Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, Generative AI, or emerging AI capabilities
- Exposure to Azure, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, or enterprise data platforms

Responsibilities




- Support the development and continuous improvement of the AI governance framework including intake, prioritization, funding, risk management, and value realization processes
- Coordinate governance forums, steering committees, and cross-functional working groups
- Develop executive-ready materials, dashboards, and reporting for leadership decision-making and portfolio management
- Track AI portfolio performance, benefits realization, adoption metrics, and governance outcomesCoordinate activities between business teams, data teams, SMEs, vendors, and technology delivery groups to advance AI initiatives
- Assist with the evaluation and prioritization of AI opportunities using value, risk, feasibility, and strategic alignment criteria
- Support AI opportunity intake, discovery workshops, and business problem definition sessions with stakeholders
