The Role

As an Analyst in the Systematic Strategies Group (SSG), you will contribute to the research, development and implementation of systematic investment strategies and support portfolio construction and risk management across global markets. You will work collaboratively across SSG on quantitative research, portfolio analysis and investment activities, with opportunities to develop analytical tools, evaluate strategy and portfolio performance, and contribute to the management of multi-asset systematic investment portfolios.

The Team

The Capital Markets and Factor Investing (CMF) department invests globally across public equities, fixed income securities, currencies, commodities and derivatives, and manages external investment managers and co-investments in public market securities. Within CMF, the Systematic Strategies Group (SSG) develops and manages systematic investment strategies across global equities, fixed income, commodities, currencies and volatility. SSG invests in absolute return and long‑only strategies designed to provide a diversifying return stream to the total fund.

Accountabilities

- Contribute to the research, development and implementation of systematic investment strategies and portfolio construction and risk management frameworks.
- Conduct quantitative research and analysis, present findings and contribute to discussions across SSG investment forums.
- Review existing investment strategies,



processes and portfolio performance in partnership with colleagues across SSG.
- Contribute to the management and analysis of multi-asset systematic investment portfolios, including performance, risk and positioning.
- Partner with Investment Engineering and Analytics colleagues to design and implement new analytical tools and modules.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of implemented strategies and portfolio performance to support investment research and decision‑making.
- Contribute to projects across investment research, data engineering and portfolio engineering as priorities evolve.

Qualifications

- Enrolment in an undergraduate or graduate co‑op program; enrolment in a non‑co‑op program while pursuing a professional experience year (PEY); or graduation in April 2026 or later from an undergraduate or advanced degree program.
- Studies in a quantitative discipline such as economics, finance, computer science, engineering or applied mathematics; an advanced degree in a quantitative discipline is preferred.
- Strong programming skills, preferably in Python, and empirical research experience working with large data sets.
- Interest in capital markets and investment management; knowledge of financial instruments such as equities, futures, swaps or options is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and an interest in working collaboratively.
- Robust organizational skills, initiative and the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and new challenges.
